Explain a change of intentions or plans

Hi! In this lesson you we can learnd how to express a intention or plan that we had in the past, but we changed. 



WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

It is a way that is used to tell a plan or forecast for the future that you had in the past and you did not do because you changed your mind.

GRAMMAR : 

  •  Affirmative: Subject + was/were going to + verb in base form.
  • Negative: Subject + was/were NOT going to + verb in base form.
  • Interrogative: Was/were + subject + going to + verb in base form + 


EXAMPLES 

  1. She was going to the supermarket, but she did not have enough money 
  2. We weren't going to the entraing, but our coach told us we had to do it
  3. were they going to cook the lunch
